Hitting the right note at Myer's first AGM
We were very excited about this job!
The brief: create a visual essay of Myer's top growth stories for presentation at Myer's first AGM as a public company. The film needed to be closely aligned with the annual report: classic, photographic/cinematic and understated.
With just four days for shooting we managed to squeeze in filming in QLD, NSW and comprehensively shot the new Myer Melbourne store (which is amazing if you haven't seen it) along with many side trips to distributions centres and suburban stores.
Shot exclusively on DSLR with the assistance of a portable dolly (which surprisingly travels well) the short film is tied together by original music from Matthew Crawford.
It was great working with many patient Myer team members and customers who voluteered to be a part of the project and didn't flinch at retakes.
